Crossed wires (2020)

'Crossed wires' is a multimedia series featuring a model bound in thin black thread. The original photographs were then edited, incorporating additional vertical lines, tape textures and water fading effects.

Inspired by Carol Ann Duffy’s poem 'Standing Female Nude', this project questions the miscommunication and imbalance of power between subject and photographer. The project reflects on how the subject can lose agency over their own portrayal, becoming vulnerable to the photographer’s intent.
