Existence (2020)

'Existence' is part of a wider series exploring identity. The centrepiece is a 1m x 1m oil painting of a drag queen, paired with a drag makeover transformation of my dad. The project aim to reconsider traditional notions of masculinity. Through the art of drag, individuals find freedom to embrace self-expression by traditionally adopting a feminine persona. This project celebrates the fluidity and complexity of identity.
